Our main test involves using a DataColor Spyder Elite 5 Colorimeter to assess a display’s image quality. The device sits on top of the screen while the software generates colour tones and patterns, which it compares against predetermined values to work out how accurate the screen is. The results show – A monitor’s maximum brightness in candelas or cd/m2 at various levels set in the OSD. A monitor’s contrast ratio at various brightness levels in the OSD. The brightness deviation across the panel. The black and white points. The colour accuracy, expressed as a Delta E ratio, with a result under 3 being fine for normal use, and under 2 being great for colour-accurate design work. The exact gamma levels, with a comparison against preset settings in the OSD. We first run this test with the display in its default, out-of-the-box state, with all settings on default. We then calibrate the screen using the Spyder software and run the test again. We always test the display subjectively on the Windows desktop, using it for general tasks such as browsing and word processing, and with games as well, even if the display is not intended solely for that purpose. We pay careful attention to any artefacts, ghosting or motion blur, and enable any gaming-specific features, such as adaptive-sync settings like G-Sync or FreeSync, using a compatible graphics card in our test PC. We performed the quality tests on the XUB2792UHSU at its native 3,840 x 2,160 resolution in the default mode using the HDMI connection. Our test system was equipped with an AMD Radeon Vega Frontier Edition graphics card. The gamut is reasonable if not outstanding, with 100 per cent sRGB but 78 per cent of AdobeRGB. Brightness uniformity is decent, with less than five per cent deviation except along the bottom edge. Colour uniformity is acceptable, although the bottom left-hand corner deviates more as the brightness increases. Although this monitor is rated at 300cd/m2 brightness, this is clearly at the default settings, which leaves brightness at 80 per cent, because the level goes up to at 100 per cent, rising in a mostly linear fashion as the setting increases. The white balance is almost uniform across all levels at 6900K, just easing up a notch to 7000K at 100 per cent. Contrast also goes up to 780:1, with the usual artificially high reading at 0 per cent brightness. This is a fairly typical result for an IPS panel. The I-Style Color presets aren't particularly extensive, but they do give a decent range of options. The default Off setting equates to brightness, 770:1 contrast, and 7000K white point. Standard mode is similar, with a slightly brighter slightly lower 740:1 contrast, but the same 7000K white point. Game and Cinema mode are virtually identical, both using the brightest level of around 385cd/m2, nearly identical contrast at 770:1 and 780:1 respectively, and the same 7000K white point. Scenery mode is a little more varied, with a lower brightness and 650:1 contrast, but the same 7000K white point. Text mode, as we usually find with presets aimed at onscreen reading, is much darker at with a much lower 380:1 contrast, but again the same 7000K white point. The single gamma mode equates to which is a fairly standard value close to the typical one of that often sits in the middle of a monitor's range. It's still a shame you don't have any other options, however. Since this is a professional monitor based around an IPS panel, colour accuracy should be one of its strongest suits, and the average deviation of fits the bill nicely. We've seen better, but this is definitely towards the top of the list for monitors we've tested. As always, though, we wondered if we could do even better via calibration, so we called upon the Spyder's system to see if improvements could be made. The gamut remains at the same respectable level of 100 per cent sRGB and 78 per cent AdobeRGB. Gamma also remains identical at a mid-range Colour accuracy, however, has improved a lot, and is now close to the best we've seen with an average delta E of – this is not far off the phenomenal (and phenomenally expensive) ASUS ProArt PA32U, so this is an incredible result for Iiyama. Overall, whilst this isn't the perfect screen in every aspect of quality, if your work relies on accurate colour, it's one of the best we've tested. After testing and calibrating the screen, we tried a few professional tasks such as image editing with Photoshop and video editing with Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2019. The detail and colour accuracy were a real bonus for these kinds of tasks. Przy okazji testów innego monitora od iiyamy – gamingowego G-Master Red Eagle GB3461WQSU -wspomniałem o tym, że Japończycy posiadają dwie naczelne rodziny monitorów: biznesowe ProLite oraz gamingowe G-Master. Obie te rodziny są do siebie bardzo podobne pod kątem wizualnym i w niektórych przypadkach ciężko jest w ogóle odróżnić monitory tych dwóch serii na pierwszy rzut oka. A żeby było jeszcze ciekawiej, to nawet pod kątem wyposażenia granice także wydają się zacierać. Ostatnio w sprzęcie gamingowym zdziwiłem się na widok trybów Picture-in-Picture oraz Picture-by-Picture. A teraz na testy otrzymałem monitor biurowy… z FreeSync. Myślę że określenie „biurowy” w stosunku do tego monitora jest niewystarczające, a może nawet nieco krzywdzące. „Biurowy” bardziej kojarzy się z podstawową funkcjonalnością, wystarczającą do redagowania dokumentów, pisania tabel czy pracą z przeglądarką albo klientem poczty. Chyba bardziej sprawiedliwym byłoby nazwanie tego monitora biznesowym o uniwersalnym zastosowaniu. Dla porównania – mój służbowy monitor (iiyama ProLite E2483HS) posiada matrycę 24-calową okutaną 1,5-centymetrowymi ramkami bocznymi. W efekcie szerokość monitora wyniosła 56,5 cm. Testowany ProLite przy przekątnej 27-cali i braku ramek ma tylko 3 cm szerokości więcej. I nie da się ukryć, że 3 cale więcej na długości przekątnej przekładają się na odczuwalnie większy ekran i przez to – komfort pracy. Cały zestaw, czyli monitor wraz z podstawą, waży ok. 7,5 kg, więc w żaden sposób nie przeraża wagą. Z pewnością nie będzie dla nikogo zaskoczeniem fakt, że monitor w całości wykonany jest z tworzywa. Dokładniej – matowego i posiadającego jednolitą, delikatnie chropowatą fakturę plastiku. Maksymalnie bezpieczna bryła urządzenia powinna bez problemu wkomponować się w wystrój każdego biura czy gabinetu. Mi biały kolor od razu kojarzy się z wyposażeniem przychodni czy szpitala. Całość dobrze komponuje się z podstawą monitora, wykończoną identycznie jak sam monitor – biały mat i chropowata faktura na całej powierzchni. Ponadto, w obudowie nie znalazłem żadnych szpar lub innych niedoskonałości świadczących o nie najlepszym spasowaniu poszczególnych elementów urządzenia. Ale do tego iiyama także zdarzyła mnie przyzwyczaić. Podstawa zresztą stara się potwierdzić profesjonalny charakter monitora. Posiada funkcję tilt (22° w górę i 5° w dół), swivel (45° w lewo i w prawo), pivot (tryb portretu) oraz regulację wysokości (13 cm). Sam monitor natomiast wyposażony został w gniazda montażowe VESA. Żeby jednak zawiesić monitor na uchwycie ściennym lub ramieniu, trzeba będzie wyposażyć się w śrubokręt krzyżakowy, albowiem podstawa jest przykręcona do korpusu czterema śrubami. Rezygnacja z fabrycznej podstawy nie wydaje się jednak potrzebna, gdyż podstawa jest odpowiednio stabilna – monitor na niej nie chwieje się, a wszystkie opcje regulacji działają jak powinny. Porty, głośniki oraz menu Testowany ProLite posiada dość podstawowy, ale jednocześnie wystarczający zazwyczaj zestaw portów. Pod spodem, po prawej stronie znajdują się trzy wejścia wideo: DVI-D, HDMI oraz DisplayPort. Po lewej stronie znajduje się gniazdo zasilania oraz wejście i wyjście audio. Na prawym boku umieszczono jeszcze niewielki hub składający się z dwóch gniazd USB Z czystym sumieniem mogę powiedzieć, że to wystarczy do wyposażenia naszego biurka i to pewnie z nawiązką. Poza tym, pod gniazdami USB znajduje się gniazdo USB-B służące jako upstream. Po połączeniu monitora z komputerem z pomocą przewodu USB-A – USB-B, hub monitora będzie pełnił rolę huba dla peceta. ProLite XUB2792QSU to kolejny monitor od iiyamy, który może pochwalić się wyposażeniem w całkiem poprawnie brzmiące głośniki stereo. Jakością oferowanego dźwięku bardziej przypominają, co prawda, niezłe głośniki z laptopa niż samodzielne głośniki komputerowe, ale trzeba im oddać, że są całkiem donośne, a przy tym potrafią zachować niezłą jakość na całej skali głośności. No, może powyżej 90% tony wysokie stają się za bardzo nachalne, ale nie jest to jeszcze poziom, który mógłby irytować i przeszkadzać w odbiorze treści. O bas jest ciężko, ale też membrany nie próbują na siłę go reprodukować, przez co dźwięki pozbawione są nieprzyjemnych detali w postaci charczenia czy trzeszczenia. Podsumowując – jest to zestaw audio, który umożliwi obejrzenie serialu albo słuchanie internetowego radia w tle, ale melomani raczej sięgną po słuchawki lub zewnętrzne głośniki. Testowany ProLite posiada menu obsługiwane za pomocą umieszczonych na dolnej ramce przycisków. Szkoda, że nie ma tutaj dżojstika, jak chociażby w ProLite XB3288UHSU, którego testowałem w ubiegłym roku. Jest to dużo bardziej intuicyjne i przez to, po prostu, wygodniejsze rozwiązanie. Do przycisków trzeba przyzwyczajać się nieco dłużej i najpierw sprawdzić, który przycisk jest do czego. Na szczęście na froncie zostało to wszystko opisane, co ułatwia początkową obsługę. Podobnie zresztą jak polskie tłumaczenie menu. Z racji tego, że nie jest to (teoretycznie) monitor gamingowy lub profesjonalny (np. do obróbki grafiki czy wideo), to i wybór opcji został ograniczony do tych niezbędnych – regulacja obrazu (jasność, kontrast, ACR, tryb Eco, ostrość, redukcja światła niebieskiego), kolorów oraz opcje dotyczącego samego OSD. No i wspomniany we wstępie dodatek w postaci FreeSyncu – funkcja jednak zdecydowanie częściej widziana w monitorach adresowanych do graczy. Testy matrycy Testowany monitor wywodzi się z wyższej serii monitorów biznesowych iiyamy, więc użytkownik ma prawo oczekiwać czegoś więcej niż niezbędne minimum w kwestii jakości obrazu. Jestem w stanie nawet pokusić się o stwierdzenie, że z racji parametrów oraz obecności technologii synchronizacji adaptacyjnej od AMD – FreeSyncu – monitor może zainteresować graczy oraz osoby zajmujące się obróbką materiałów wideo albo grafiki. Tym bardziej, że obsługuje on 10-bitową głębię kolorów (8 bit + FRC). Kolorymetrem pokazał, że pokrycie palety sRGB wynosi 97%, co jest całkiem niezłą wartością. Na kontrast i czerń także nie można narzekać, szczególnie, że sam panel jest dość mocno podświetlony (prawie 350 nitów, czyli tyle, ile deklarował producent). Niewielki zarzut mam tylko do równości podświetlenia. Testy pokazały, że boczne krawędzie są podświetlone nieco słabiej niż środek ekranu. Na szczęście nie widać tego przy codziennym korzystaniu z monitora, nawet podczas wyświetlania jednolitego tła, więc nie przeszkadza w czasie pracy. Dobrze wypadła też regulowana podstawa, pozwalająca na dowolne ustawienie monitora. Niby nic wielkiego, ale podejrzewam, że nie raz i nie dwa mogliście irytować się pracując przed wyświetlaczem, którego nie można sobie podnieść, czy zmienić kąt nachylenia. Najbardziej zaskoczyła mnie tu obecność technologii FreeSync, ale tak właściwie, to podkreśla ona wszystko to, co pisałem wcześniej – wszechstronność monitora. Uważam że jeżeli ktoś w obecnej sytuacji przeniósł się z siedziby firmy na home office i potrzebuje jednego monitora, który nada się do pracy, a później umożliwi komfortowe obejrzenie serialu, a nawet zagranie w jakiś tytuł – wszystko w dość niezłej jakości obrazu – to ProLite XUB2792QSU jest całkiem ciekawym wyborem. Dank voor je snelle reactie. Ik heb er nu ook één voor mijn neus staan, maar ik vind dat de tekst wat wazig is. Hij staat op 4K met 125% geschaald en ook cleartype is meermaals ingesteld. Ook op 150 of 175% speelt dit probleem, en bij meerdere computers. Je kunt de scherpte instellen, maar op 3 is hij net te wazig, en op 4 is hij overmatig verscherpt. Er tussenin zou ideaal zijn. Dus ik twijfel nu om hem terug te sturen. Heb jij hier ook last van? Speelt dit probleem ook bij 100% scaling? Ik zie hier geen vreemde dingen, maar bij >100% wordt alles wel wat minder scherp. Op 100% is het scherm beduidend scherper dan mijn 22" 1080p- en 55" 4k-schermen. (een scherpte van 3 zou neutraal moeten zijn, bij andere waardes ontstaan er duidelijke problemen op testpatronen) Dan ook, vooral bij zwarte tekst met een witte achtergrond. Andersom zie je het niet. Een chroma test afbeelding ziet er prima uit, maar met geïnverteerde kleuren blijkt wederom dat de zwarte tekst op witte achtergrond bij lange na niet zo scherp is. Ik vraag me af of dit een slecht paneel is, of dat het ergens anders mis gaat? Dit lijkt hier ook goed te werken: Deze foto is wel gemaakt onder Linux, maar onder Windows zag ik eerder vandaag ook geen vreemde dingen. Onscherpte langs de randen komt van de lens, dit is in het echt niet zichtbaar. Ik zie wel een klein verschil in scherpte met geïnverteerde kleuren, maar dit zie ik ook op mijn 55"-scherm -- de tekst lijkt iets dunner te worden? Ik denk overigens niet dat dit hetzelfde probleem is. Met IPS klopt het met de zwartwaarde, maar dat zou wel moeten kloppen en is ook handig voor bewerking van de zwartwaarden met foto en / of videobewerking. Ik vind het daarom ook wat apart om kenmerken van een IPS als nadeel te noemen, terwijl je juist zelf een keuze maakt voor IPS. Volgens mij kun je dit beter beoordelen op IPS, en niet op algemene kenmerken van een monitor. Zoals beperkte kleurruimte? Heeft een doorgaand scherm dan 100% sRGB? Volgens mij bekijk je de review teveel vanuit een soort van superscherm die alles biedt wat maar mogelijk is, beoordelen op de monitor / techniek opzich. Uiteindelijk zal je beoordeling ook vast daarop berust zijn, maar met alle voor- en nadelen komt het over alsof er van alles mis mee is. Ik hoop echt dat iemand dit weet Flosuss Ik heb geen HDMI-aansluitingen meer vrij, dus ik kan daar verder helaas niks over zeggen. Het is wel goed om te weten dat daar een nieuwere versie van DP voor nodig is, dat verklaart wel een paar dingen! Heb net alles afgesloten en de HDMI-kabel van mijn TV omgezet, maar helaas niet met het gewenste resultaat -- het scherm schiet tijdens het testen met de Cyberlink-tool voor zo'n 20 seconden op zwart, komt even terug, schiet weer op zwart en komt vervolgens uit de test met een "Not Available" bij HDCP Dit is wel met een receiver ertussen, maar met de TV daarop aangesloten werkt het wel. (en veel sneller, duurt daar maar een seconde of twee) Ik heb verder ook nog even in het menu gekeken, maar er is daar alleen een toggle tussen DP en te vinden. 17 november 2018 05:590 reacties Inleiding Je kent het wel van feestjes: iedereen is al geruime tijd aanwezig, en dan komt er nog iemand nadrukkelijk binnenzeilen - alle ogen op hem of haar gevestigd. Nu kunnen we het immer sobere, zakelijke Iiyama beslist niet betichten van een neiging tot nodeloos drama, maar het moet gezegd: de ProLite XUB2792UHSU komt rijkelijk laat het marktsegment van 27-inch ultra hd-monitoren binnen. Gelukkig gaat er onder het understated uiterlijk een opmerkelijk goed afgesteld scherm schuil. Een paar jaar terug was ultra hd voornamelijk bereikbaar geprijsd in het 28-inch segment, waar een aantal tn-panelen zorgden voor zeer betaalbare monitoren. Ips-techniek, met zijn betere kijkhoeken, was alleen weggelegd voor wie een paar honderd euro kon bijbetalen. Die situatie is inmiddels wel anders: ips is nog altijd wat duurder dan tn, maar het verschil valt mee - en is in sommige vergelijkingen geheel weggevallen. Met name LG maakt furore met de zeer betaalbare 27UD58 en 27UD59 - en de rest van de markt moet mee. Van Iiyama zijn we een scherpe prijs-prestatieverhouding gewend, dus het mag niet verwonderen dat het merk even de boot heeft afgehouden zolang 4K ips nog een premiumsegment was. Nu achtte men echter kennelijk de tijd rijp, want de ProLite XUB2792UHSU komt voor een bescheiden bedrag van iets meer dan 400 euro naar de Nederlandse markt, en de verwachting dat die prijs nog wel eens onder de 400 euro zou kunnen dalen wanneer de winkels eenmaal bevoorraad zijn, is verre van onrealistisch. Zoals we van de XUB-lijn gewend zijn (we hebben er al de nodige besproken) mag je rekenen op een ergonomische, in hoogte verstelbare voet, dunne schermranden en een usb hub naast een assortiment andere aansluitingen. We vergelijken hem met een flinke hoeveelheid andere 27-inch ultra hd-monitoren die we door de jaren heen hebben getest - het merendeel daarvan is ook nog gewoon te koop. Voordat we de vergelijking aangaan, bekijken we deze Iiyama eerst nog wat in meer detail.
